I have been building models since I was a kid but only seriously since 1995. What got me interested in models again was Scale Auto Enthusiast. After reading a few articles and seeing some pictures of other people's models, my hobby turned from a pass time to a serious hobby (almost obsession). A few years after getting back into the hobby, I found out there were local model clubs and contests, so I joined a club in a neighboring city and started entering my models in competitions. Much to my surprise, I received a few awards in my first year of competing. The club I joined was A.M.R.O. (Association de Modeles Reduits de l'Outaouais) in Hull Quebec. We have a web site. My main modeling interests are modern cars and trucks, emergency and commercial vehicles. Almost all my models are of recent vehicles that are built replica stock and are all 1/24 and 1/25 scale. I also have a passion for tractor trailers but other than Italeri, the selection for modern trucks is limited. I also took a model railroading course because I wanted to do dioramas. I have built many dioramas and find them a lot of fun to build and a great way to display models.
Models are not my only hobby. I actually have too many to list but a few are covered in my other interests page.
I hope you enjoyed my pictures and hopefully some of them inspired you to let go of your mouse and pickup a hobby knife.
Enjoy. Pete
